2020 Volunteer of The Year

KZFR is honoring two volunteer programmers as "2020 Volunteer of The Year"!

Chris Nelson co-host of Peace & Social Justice and Guillermo Mash co-host Studio 416 & Youth For Justice. Both are community activist and report on important local issue on their programs.

We are honored that both Chris & Guillermo are part of this community radio team. Thank you both for all you do for the station and your ongoing efforts to improve the lives of everyone in our community & beyond.

Peace & Social Justice co-host Chris Nelson - "I believe in our KZFR mission to educate. The Peace & Social Justice Program brings listeners a spectrum of topics on social justice and military abolition from national leaders, activists, authors and movement organizers and we (many hosts) have programmed this unique public affairs offering since the start of the first Gulf War in hopes of creating and maintaining democratic activism."

Youth For Justice & Studio 416 co-host Guillermo Mash - "I joined KZFR five-years ago co-hosting the Peace & Social Justice and Without a Roof radio programs. I tell stories. Audio stories, video stories, photo stories and my greatest passion -- written stories. I turn 60 this June and will be celebrating with a three-month sabbatical. Fear not Zephyrs! I'll be re-airing some of my favorite interviews and musical guests all summer."
